Students who wish to be considered for a Stepping Stones Scholarship should fill in an application form and send it, along with the recommendation of the head of his/her educational institution, either directly to MF Central Office or to a local MF Associate. In either case a local Associate will interview short-listed candidates before he/she recommends a name.

Based on norms evolved by the Foundation, students will be selected for the award of the scholarship which will cover most of the fees they need to pay and their expenses on books. The fee component will be paid once a year/semester; the awardee will be sent a cheque/DD payable to the educational institution. Any expenses on essential books will be reimbursed direct to the awardee on production of the relevant invoice or cash receipt.

The collaborating institution (institution to which the student is admitted) will monitor the awardee’s performance. For the award to continue, the performance must continue to be very good.
